Jason Steed to Chair Leadership Utah Alumni Program

SALT LAKE CITY, September 12, 2008. Jason Steed, President and CEO of Targa Media accepted an invitation to serve as the Chair of the Leadership Utah Alumni, an elite Salt Lake Chamber program. The committee of twelve prior program graduates aims to expose Alumni to community leaders from a variety of industries. Leadership Utah Alumni also meets regularly to address critical community issues, to provide networking opportunities, and to generate community involvement. Periodically, the Alumni will be included in exclusive Chamber VIP events.

Targa Media was 1 of 50 hand-selected companies in the greater Salt Lake area to enroll in the Leadership Utah class of 2003-2004 program. An intensive, educational program to encourage leadership roles in theÊcommunity. Since then, Targa Media has been active on the LUA Committee, supporting its initiatives through event publicity and participation.

Steed recalls his experiences during his year-long enrollment in Leadership Utah, meeting with executives of Questar, Zion's Bank, Utah Power Pacificorp, AT&T Wireless, and others, as well as top state and local government officials. Steed commented, "You know there has to be a lot of advance planning to be able to meet with the Governor, the Speaker of the House, a Supreme Court Chief Justice, and a state Senator all in one morning." Jackie Sexton, a key organizer, stated, "These events are opportunities that few will ever have. I've seen great things come from alumni who pursued the topics and guests that truly inspired them. I'm pleased with Jason's decision to accept this position, and I anticipate great things this coming year."
