SENIOR DESIGNER / INTERACTIVE ART DIRECTOR
Job Description
Concepting is key! Constructive brainstorming in group settings or individually, and strong design skills in executing final concepts.
As part of the creative team reporting to the Creative Director, the Senior Designer will be responsible for providing graphic design, conceptual and stylistic leadership, and visual execution. Understanding of good typography is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate current client collateral, suggest/implement design improvements
- Concept/design for print and interactive media
- Conceptualizing, storyboarding
- Graphical production
- Build and enforce branding style guides
- Work with marketing team to produce targeted promotions
- Contribute to team-building environments
- Recommend processes and standards for best interface usability
- Production: File pre-press prep, HTML coding/testing
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree in art or graphic design
- High competence with Adobe InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop, QuarkXPress, Adobe Flash, HTML coding
- Experience in the workplace. Experience should demonstrate an inclination to manage multiple projects and timelines
- Proven ability to conceptualize and implement graphical user interfaces for a variety of market segments
- Experience managing creative teams
- Ability to work on projects in a team environment
PRODUCTION SPECIALIST
Job Description
Targa Media is looking for a detail-oriented Production Specialist for its print division. This individual must have a solid understanding of the pre-press process, a good knowledge of design tools and principles, an understanding of paper types, and a keen eye for detail. The Production Manager must have a knowledge of industry standard software, including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop (Max OS X). Experience with QuarkXPress a plus. Job includes developing layouts from existing concepts, creation of new files, corrections to existing files and preparation of files to release to vendors. Tasks also include print scheduling and press checks.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of InDesign, QuarkXPress, PhotoShop and Illustrator for Mac (OS X)
- Ability to work with style sheets, multi-page documents, 4-color process and pre-press files.
- Systems oriented and meticulous with file management and archival
- Attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and stay focused from job initiation to completion
- Exceptional time management skills to meet changing deadlines and priorities
- Ability to absorb and communicate information quickly and concisely
WEB DEVELOPER
Qualifications
Experience in HTML, HTML Tabling, Typographic CSS, Layout CSS, PHP, and front-end programming. Must be quick, able to juggle multiple projects, and detail oriented. We're a team that learns/hones new skills, and shares responsibilities.
- Possess a strong interest in current Web development
- A willingness to collaborate on project objectives and progress.
- An adept ability to learn new techniques and skills
- Basic understanding of Web usability and good design principles.
- Working knowledge of Photoshop
- Knowledge in JavaScript, PHP .ASP, and/or Flash ActionScript is a plus.
Responsibilities
Page design, form handling, and code testing/troubleshooting. Other responsibilities may include application development, depending on your skillset.
